Double Girder Overhead Crane
15t Underslung Overhead Crane
A 15 t underslung overhead crane whose end carriages run on the underside of the runway beams, rather than on rails on top. That arrangement removes the need for a raised rail level and makes it the practical choice where the roof structure cannot accept a top-running crane or where the headroom under the beams is the constraint.
Underslung cranes are used in production halls where the building is already built and the runway is part of the existing structure. The runway must be checked for the loads an underslung crane applies, and the width between the beams decides the usable span.
- Confirm at order: the existing runway section and its capacity, the clear dimension between the runway beams, and the lift height available below the rail.
- Also agree: duty class, hook approach at each end, control type, and the power feed arrangement along the runway.

All FAQs›When should I choose a double girder crane over a single girder?
Choose double girder when headroom is tight, lift height is large, the span is long or the duty class is heavy. It also gives you a platform for the trolley and panel. Below roughly 20 m span at light to medium duty, a single girder crane is usually the more economical machine.
›Can I fit a double girder crane into an existing building?
Yes, but the check is on the runway and the columns, not only on the crane. Send the bay drawing with column spacing, rail level and clear height, and we will confirm the span, the wheel loads and whether a walkway will fit above the load path.
