Box Girder Gantry Crane

Full box girder gantry cranes carry the load on an A-frame leg at each end, travelling on a rail laid on the yard surface. They are the practical answer where a building cannot take runway beams, or where the storage area is outdoors: steel yards, precast plants, container and stock handling and truck loading. Span, rail gauge, wheel loads and the track foundation decide the design together.
