Semi Gantry Crane

A semi gantry crane runs on one ground rail and one elevated runway, so it needs structure on only one side of the bay. That makes it useful where one wall or column line already exists and a full gantry is not practical, and it keeps the floor clear on the leg side. The elevated runway still has to carry its share of the load, and the two rails must stay parallel and level.
